# Gps dropping when running

Hi,

My gps is dropping when I’m running with the app. Sometimes after a few hundred meters, sometimes after a few kilometres. My watch works and tracks the run, and I can see there is reception on my phone. Anyone else experience this or know if it’s a new bug? It’s been like this for the past two weeks roughly.

It’s not necessarily a problem with the app itself as GPS data is coming from your phone. Did you experience the problem with other running app or just Freeletics

Hi Michael,  
I experienced it only with Freeletics. Tried Runna and Strava and it’s fine there.  
It starts and then it drops after random distances and I still have connection and signal on the phone. Plus my watch works also without drops.

Strange.

I keep my phone at home and track it later manually, so I never figured that this is a problem.

There is a section below for bug reporting if you like.

Yeah, I guess that’s one way of doing it afterwards.  
But I like to log the exercises as I do them and especially since the running is part of my training journey. Therefor I needed to log it as I was running and doing the exercises “live”. But it stopped anyway before the planned running exercise, but it still was accounted for but shorter. And still got registered as a completed exercise even if it was shorter than it said for my daily routine.

I can’t find the bug report link you mentioned.  
Can you please send again or forward to someone in the technical department please.
