It’s been a hot minute since this feature dropped. In some intervals and only in some journeys (in my case Ultimate Strength) you can adjust the workout on the fly. The information about it says you should aim to complete all reps without taking a break.

Should I adjust my workout when I did make a break to the repetition count I got before the break, and leave the rest be? Or how should I deal with it when I do take short breaks in between reps?

I don’t adjust anything when taking a break. Instead, at the end of the session I select that the exercise was too difficult to reduce the intensity in upcoming trainings.
