During today’s warm-up, when I had to do the second exercise, a pop-up ad appeared in the Freeletics app. During a warm-up with a countdown! What’s more, it was an ad to buy another product.
When I finished the warm-up, another pop-up ad appeared.
I exited the app and re-entered, and another ad appeared.
I’m in the app, another ad.
So apparently now we pay a subscription fee to have invasive ads appear during a workout.
