Hi, I can confirm that this issue is being worked on. The segment calculation should therefore be fixed in the next weeks. Because it’s been reported only by a few, and it’s not a blocker to the training experience (time and pace are still correct), other more critical tasks got a higher priority…

I’m wondering if there is a way to switch from km to miles. Does anyone know? Thanks in advance.

No, there isn’t any option to switch to miles (and I personally don’t expect this to come as to less countries use this unit).
