I was wondering if we could do the Hybrid Strength Journey with Dumbells and Bench only?
I’ve got a set of adjustable dumbells and a bench that goes incline and decline, I would love to combine my bodyweight exercises with weight training, but I dont want to use two apps to track it.
Well it says it requires a barbell, so I’d say no. Unless you want to replace every barbell exercise you get with an alternative one using dumbbells. But I also want to ask why you want to follow one specific journey that doesn’t fit your equipment? Perhaps the answer is - because it is not obvious in the app that you can pick a bodyweight journey, specify that you have dumbbells, and Coach will give you hybrid workouts with bodyweight + dumbbells (the only caveat is - I haven’t seen any exercises requiring a bench in this setup, so you probably wouldn’t get to use it, but yes for the dumbbells).
And another downside to a bodyweight journey+dumbbells is that you don’t know what weight to use. Especially if you’re a beginner, you don’t really know what’s the appropriate weight for which exercise
