My Transformation back to life

Hello everyone,

my name is Tim, I’m 36 years old and I work as an occupational therapist. My entire life has been marked by fluctuations in weight. I was already overweight as a child, although there was a short phase in my youth when I was very athletic. But starting at the age of 16, my weight steadily increased, reaching its peak in my mid-20s at 205 kilograms.

At that point, I made a decision: I wanted to change my life, adjust my diet, and start exercising regularly again. Coincidentally, that was also the time when Freeletics was founded. I started the 15-week workout program for the first time—although I didn’t stick with it for long back then, I stayed committed to being active. I continued with sports like swimming, cycling, and later also running, climbing, and fitness training.

Over a period of three years, with some minor setbacks, I managed to reduce my weight to around 100 kilograms. But then another difficult phase hit: stress, COVID, work, and personal circumstances led to my weight increasing again—up to 155 kilograms.

So what now? Give up? Not an option!

I picked myself back up, adjusted my diet again, and made exercise a fixed part of my daily life. I’ve now maintained my weight for nearly two years and currently weigh 92 kilograms. Just last week, I finally completed the 15-week Freeletics training plan successfully. The beginning was tough—but in the end, it was absolutely worth it!

With my story, I want to encourage anyone who’s looking to make a change. No matter how difficult or hopeless the situation may seem: if you stay consistent, everything is possible!
