Option to have the old version of the app

The old version of Freeletics helped me et in the best shape of my life, but I haven’t been able to get the same motivation from the new version. I enjoyed having workouts (with increasingly hard intensities) selected automatically for me every day, rather than having to select a journey. The new version is what holds me back from getting my subscription activated again. Is there any chance we can have the option to get something similar to the old version?

Hi @josefernandomr , I think the “Hardcore Journey” would be the closest experience to the old app.

I don’t agree. Freeletics Hardcore journey has interval workouts as well. I wish for only and only God Workouts, as it used to be in the begining.

Freeletics Hardcore Journey has intervals too, not only god workouts, a discussion about this topic is here Training without journey? - #8 by Rolf
But Yes I totally agree, the old version was the best for me too with only having god workouts, a new journey with only god workouts and some iron gods would be great! Now I combinate god workouts together with self created workouts by the workout creator for my training.

Hey @Vikas and @Rolf , yeah I know it has intervals. Hence why I said « closest » and not « exactly the same ».
From a development perspective I think this is unlikely to happen as it would mean having 2 different version of the same app in development. But I’m not from Freeletics so, who knows

All comments are valid, but surely FL can just create a journey like the old App when it came out, must include hell week. Call it “Gods”

Agreed. That would be a good way to bring things back. Ended up canceling my subscriptions because I don’t like where the app headed. Would resubscribe if that was an option.

I actually agree here. All that is needed is simply create a journey called “Original Freeletics Hardcore” program.

I personally only ever did that journey. While the current Freeletics Hardcore is good it’s actually convoluted with additional interval programs that actually hamper the progress that the original journey produced. Going all in on the original Gods required lazer focus.

With the updated version, with multiple intervals and the Gods, it actually became both watered out and too exhausting at the same time. That lazer focused execution disappeared as intensity from harder God programs got distributed across other intervals, so it became, as I said, both watered out and too exhausting at the same time. The result ended up being; meh.

You look at Joshua and Mehmet, who founded the app. They were fit beasts and knew exactly what was required if you wanted that God-physique. Unfortunately, masses lack both the willpower and the discipline to sustain such discomfort. So the app has become what it is today, otherwise it would never have become profitable.

True but there are so many of us seeking for that old App vibe. This would be so easy if you Just Pop Out a Journey and call it Freeletics Legacy or whatever and make it like what Freeletics was meant to be in the frist place.

@Ben Sorry here Ben, but you guys can not unsee this and dont Tell me that it is that hard to code. Always clicking in the new Journey is just way worse than what it could be possible to a huge userbase of Freeletics.

Please fix this and give us what many of us are asking for.
