Gods only Journey?

Hey all!

I am curious because we have a similar request in the German forum already and I wanted to know if the English speaking community sees this the way the Germans do. I certainly hope so.

We requested a Training Journey with only god workouts. No Intervals. Not a single one, only Gods. And a real tough journey as well to get really fit in a short time.

Hear me out on this: We miss the old coach-sesions where you really struggle and couldnt walk 3 days after a proper workout. The old days of Freeletics. The roots you could say where Freeletics originated from.

I am not saying “Lets ban all of the intervals in every journey”. We just want a additional Freeletics Journey as they were in the old days.

Anyone out there who is hoping for something like that as well?

Have you tried HARDCORE TJ and increase the level? Cause believe me there are intervals harder than the most of workouts of the Gods and normally you cannot train more than 4 days a week and keep the performance.

I tried every training journey and if you adapt the intensity to your level, you won’t miss those days when you repeated HADES, APHRODITE and VENUS over over again.

Yeah I basically tried it and did it one time witht the hardcore journey. The intervals are tough no doubt about that. You are completely right.

It is just that I had a really hard time getting into fitness or any kind of sports because I used to be a person who was sitting a lot. At work and at home.

So I always needed something to really motivate me and it had to be something cool. Something unique. Something over the top.

Freeletics came across my way and I was hooked from day one. Just because it was cool and not like all the others fitness programs. Where you did “Workout 1, 2 or 3”. You did “Aprhodite”. And that was hard and super cool at the same time.

When it says “Interval” I imediately lose motivation. It is somehting I have to work on but Freeletics used to make it so much easier for me.

I just miss the cool times where you just did the god workouts.

Don’t get me wrong. I know that this is silly but it is something which helped me to get into Fitness and I am certainly sure that this helped others as well.

It is nothing very hard to implement I can imagine, because they are building a “Calistenics Journey” where basically every Training is generated individually. I am just asking for a program with all the things which are already here.

There is a German Thread about this as well where already 54 people replied and they all want a Gods only Journey.

I am just sad that something which was such a central part of my life seems to be gone forever.

Just to clarify this (as I really don’t like false claims). The German thread contains 54 entries, not all of answering people want the god coach back. Plus some users replied more than once.

I completely understand your point. However, I believe that a combination of different intervals and workouts is the key to improvement and success and what makes you reach a goal.

Most of my intervals tend to be harder and more dynamic than most of the Workouts of the Gods (mainly different pullups - assisted, archer, typewriter, clapping, muscleups - different puhsups, several lower-body exercises you won’t find in Workouts of the Gods, different volumes… ) but I agree that from time to time, it would be great to take on an ‘Only Workouts of the Gods’ challenge.

I hope cool stuff regarding this will come soon.
