The point distribution on God workouts is absolutely outdated and needs updating.
This has been the case for a very long time now. The difficulty does not reflect the point distribution at all, and it seems that as far as the original Freeletics, the God workouts have been completely neglected, when in fact the original God workouts are still as relevant today as they were when this app was created if one actually wants to get into seriously good shape.
I get the gamification purpose to get more newbies/rookies to engage with the app and create a sensation of progress, but having sessions like warm-up/cool down produce 200p each, having soft vanilla sessions with rolling your head, doing stretching exercises etc. produce 700-1000p is absolute nonsense, when Original God workouts like Hades, Helios, Aphrodite, etc. produce mere 400-600ish points to this date still. 95% of the entire Freeletics userbase probably can’t even do these programs correctly, let alone complete them.
And then there’s the issue with 1 x, 2 x & 3 x God programs producing flat point distribution. Doing 2 x God is not the same as doing a single program 2 times, and doing a 3 x program for those burpee heavy programs is another dimension entirely. The difficulty in maintaining a 3 x God for pace is factors of magnitude more difficult than even 2 x God, and a whole another level from 1 x God.
Where is the difficulty multiplier here? If 1 x God program has a factor/multiplier of 1.0, then surely doing a 2 x God should be considered with a difficulty of 1.3-1.5 multiplier.
3 x God should at least produce a 2.0 difficulty multiplier if not more.
I get that you want engagement, but if you truly want people to both track their points, level up and progress physically, maybe you should update the point system to actually reflect the difficulty they deserve, and maybe even more people will feel the pull to do proper God programs if the points are more rewarding.
Getting 700-800p to do 20-30 different useless exercises for 30-60s each, while 1 x Helios gives you 625p and 2x Helios 1250p is absolutely outrageous.
These are just a few examples, but this is the case across board when it comes to all God programs. The point system needs an overhaul.
