I note this feature has been requested before… I am having to separately note the mass for the dumbbells used for a specific volume/routine. It would be much better that 1) the app records this data & 2) the app uses the data for determining mass next time I complete exercise
I don’t get it: why do you have to note the mass manually?
Of course, the coach adapts your future workouts and weights to your previous weight workouts.
Not when on a Bodyweight Journey such as Weights-Free Gain
Thanks for answering, Ben. But you don’t train with weights in a weights-free journey and the coach won’t plan those, soooo…
If you add them as an equipment item in your Coach settings the Coach will definitely assign them
I see. Interesting choice. Doesn’t this counter the whole meaning of the journey?
Often there is a exercise that requires weights, such as dumbbell. When you complete this you need to decide what weight to use (5kg -25kg…) for the number of reps. Once you have worked out what best, say 20kg, you cannot record this data in the app. You need to write it down. If , later, you have to do a similar exercise, you have to try to remember what you did last time. Ideally, the AI should work out, based on prior weight achieved, what weight should be used next.
Specifically with regards to this Training Journey? I can see how it contradicts the name of the TJ in language, but really not the experience
To be honest, Weights-Free Gain is probably one of the best journeys in which to enable small weights as if you use the right weights you can get a great mix of high resistence BW and Weighted exercises in the same session.
We’ve tried to allow Athletes to add small weights in to as many journeys as possible.
I’m sorry, but I don’t understand. What does it mean that the title does not correspond to the language, but to the experience? To be honest, I was also surprised that the journey without weights regularly uses weights (but does not specify the weight of the weights, which is also quite dangerous for beginners).
What puzzles me even more is that in a complete beginner’s setup, the dragonflag or hanging leg raises are already included in the first workouts, while in the progression exercises steps are done to master burpees, an exercise incomparably easier than the mentioned exercises. How is a beginner supposed to finish that workout? It gives the impression that Coach is just randomly generating exercises without any deeper thought behind it. And that is not a problem only with the Weights-free TJ, I doubt that any live couch would ask during the first training of the barbell TJ, to do backsquats with 57.5 kg and lunges with 34.5 kg.
