Base streak: Sync auto activites with Google Fit (Health Connect)

My beloved smartwatch / fitness tracker broke last week. So while I am searching and choosing a new device, of course I did not want to loose my base streak and used Google Fit on my Andoid phone to track my steps and my activites outside Freeletics.

What I find very dissapointing (and consider a bug, which is why I post it here) is that all my walking activites are not synced with Freeletics.

So for example last week I was on holiday, it was a very busy day, reaching almost 20k steps, which is amazing for me personally. More than enough to hit a 17 min base, in my humble opintion. In screenshot below you see the walking documentation automatically created by Google Fit (checked that it was sucessfully synced to Heath, I can see it in other synced apps, tried out Fitbit just for this.)

Now this is what is synced to Freeletics on that day.

I would like to point out that I do not have a general sync issue. If I actively create and track a workout in Fit like Yoga or even Walking, these activites are synced just fine. But the above shown “Gehen am Nachmittag” activites are the ones automatically created by google, all of these do not show in Freeletics. This was never an issue with my previous fitness device (it did just the same and automotically created walking acitivites after it registered a certain time of walking) but it obviously is with Google Fit.

And I seriously hope you will NOT tell me it is a feature that steps from a cellphone are not counted but just from fitness trackers to promote sales for more devices.

Has anyone else noticed that Google Fit doesn’t sync walking with Freeletics, even if it appears in Health or Fitbit?

Hey, steps are not taken into account in the base streak. No matter how many you do or with what app you try to sync it. But you can record it via the app as walking (instead of just letting it count the steps) and that counts towards the base streak.

I find it a bit annoying too, though
