Getting more machine work in Coach

I’ve been on Freeletics for ~1 month and most sessions are bodyweight or dumbbell work. I train in a full gym (bench, barbell, pulldown, cable stack, etc.). I’ve enabled my equipment in Coach settings and I’m happy to switch journeys if needed.
For those who’ve done Ultimate Strength or the Weights journeys: did machines/barbell work start showing up consistently? Any tips on Equipment/Spaces setup to get more machine-based programming? My goal is strength + hypertrophy. Thanks!

Hi there, I’ve been using Freeletics for nearly 12 years, the simple answer is that it depends on the “Journey” you select and the equipment you add. Selecting Journeys like Ultimate Strength, Hybrid Strength, Barbell Gains will include more traditional gym equipment such as barbells etc. You probably won’t get gym machines too much, by that I mean chest press machine, lat machine etc

Quick update: after 4–5 weeks the Coach still serves mostly bodyweight + a few dumbbell sets despite my gym Equipment/Spaces being set up. For a hypertrophy goal in a fully-equipped gym, this feels very limited compared with free apps that program machines (lat pulldown, cables, chest press, etc.).

I’ve submitted a refund + cancellation request because the plan isn’t adapting to my feedback and doesn’t offer a clear machine-based hypertrophy path for me. If I’m missing a setting that forces machine/barbell bias outside of Ultimate Strength, please advise.

Thanks for taking a look.

You should just remove bodyweight as a Training Option by editing your Activities to Traditional Strength.

Thanks @Ben not sure where can i edit my activists to remove bodyweight and change to Traditional Strength - Can you please guide me?

Hey, my app may be in German but I hope it helps you nevertheless.

Ok first after opening the app you go to the options in the upper right corner

Then to activities or something similar

Then you tap on the hiit training to exclude it and safe.
