I’m also in
After a bit of a break regarding freeletics but also Sports in general I am now trying to get back in a sustainable routine. Kicking off with the get real challenge was/is very helpful, but the real test will come when I start my new job in February. I have tried to get back into a regular routine before and failed each time. I reflected on the why a lot and I think the problem was doing too much too soon. It’s hard to accept that my PBs are currently unreachable and not all workouts are possible at the moment. But this time I told myself to take it slow and to accept that bodies change and that it will take time to get back go where I was. And that slow and steady will get me farther than what i tried before.
My goals are:

  • perfect weeks with the coach unless I’m ill
  • Aphrodite below 25 mins in may, below 22 mins by December
  • doing pull-ups by the end of the year

I’m glad to see so many people here! Clap clap and let’s do this!

Nice idea, I am in

My why…working in healthcare and seeing how not maintaining healthy habits negatively impacts how you age. Being a middle aged woman, I want to stay strong and healthy as I age (hopefully with grace!)

Got pretty fit again in the last month since picking it up again … so it’s time to make it visible til may.
Sadly nutrition app will be pretty useless if you can’t go shopping every day or even more if you’re vegan
Gonna rock it anyway ^^

Wow, that’s great! I’m so happy to be part of this challenge.
I want to take part to it to keep evolving and having NO EXCUSES, learning new exercises and keep having fun with Freeletics.
furthermore, want to represent vegan free athletes, showing that with kindness and consistency you can achieve everything.
Would love to become a Freeletics ambassador too :yellow_heart:
Last but not least, why not a naming like: “May Freeletics be with you!” :smirk:

Ok…let’s try and get this started @BeastBootcampers :muscle:

You’ve all got access to the very exclusive, Beast Bootcamp Challenge section :fire:

We’ll be sharing a weekly challenge in there for you all to do, and I’d also really encourage you to start your own topic to detail your transformation and to share your progress with the rest of the group. You don’t have to share photos or video of yourself should you not want to. The group is here to support you when you need it, this is all about helping each other to reach the place we want to be at the end of May.

I’ll try and start my own later today to give an example.

If you’ve any questions, or ideas on how we progress with the group over the next couple of months, please make sure you share them in Beast Bootcamp Challenge

The Nutrition app has some good recipes but for sure, it is really lacking in a plant based meal plan  I usually spend a significant proportion of the year following a plant based diet so I do know :+1:

That’s a challenge in itself right there Robyn :+1: Not easy work, so thank you

I know this feeling only all to well Rike :joy:

Mela yes! I saw some of your Instagram posts with your Zwift content. We should try and get a Freeletics Zwift regular ride on the go in the next few weeks! :fire:

Thank you Anna  It’s a been a slow road unfortunately.

Covid is still an absolute fitness destroyer…I’ve got friends who were bed ridden for over a week with it and really struggle getting back in to sports :see_no_evil:

I never knew you were into these ultra marathon races Alexandre! That sounds…well…hardcore. Too hardcore for me for sure

Great goals here @emmavictorio :muscle:

Yeah, I hate calorie tracking, BUT it can really help you understand exactly how much you’re eating and help you identify some trends in your diet. I’m doing it at the moment, and have lost of whole load of weight.

Happy belated birthday @avgeert :birthday: Let’s get each other to this point

GREAT goals here All :muscle: Love the mix of weights and cardio!

We can ALL help you with this  Hopefully being in the group will help us all be consistent and accountable to each other :muscle:

Urgh, I had the exact same problem with my left wrist after the accident. I couldn’t put any weight on it at all for MONTHS. It took a lot of time, but it obviously needed it.

Let’s do this Karla! Great goals!

If you happen to be German or know German I might know an app that could help you with getting your proteins in and eating healthy. So, do you know German ?

Sure do. Alle ears

I’ll recommend the app Choosy. You can choose what diet you have and things you don’t like or can’t eat. (I’m not sure about very specific stuff but vegan and not being able to eat peanuts is very possible.)
In order to get a diet with high protein and several meals per day, you’d have to pay premium which isn’t that high. I’ve been thinking about it a lot. You can also put in food that you have still at home in order to do something with that.

Hey, @Ben,

I’m in. And here is why.
I have been a Free Athlete for almost ten years now (started in June 2015!).
I have created healthy habits with regular trainings.
I even closely watch my nutrition, especially protein intake. (Every other year or so I’m very strict on my diet, and I don’t have too many bad eating habits.)

However, I still have training goals I haven’t reached so far. So here they are:

  • Free Handstand: I want a hang-time of 10 seconds. (I’m in between 3 and 7 seconds, so there is still room for improvement.)

  • 10 pullups in a row. I hate pullups! I really dispise that excercise and would rather do 100 Burpees (anytime!) that 10 pullups. I’m in between 6 and 8 in a row, but I have to force myself to do at least one set during every training.

So, now you know! Let’s do this.

Actually installed that not that long ago, but got repelled by most useful functions being paywalled. Probably will try it after my studies as soon money is a little less of an issue again XD
Thanks for the advice =)

@Flibbo I understand the feeling behind it
You don’t actually have to do that with the paid version, I’ve been using it for two months now pay-less and it’s good for that too. Just don’t know how well in regards of protein rich meals

Hi @Ben, first thank you for this challenge and your own workouts in the feed - it definitely helped me to find the motivation to get back on track :muscle:
I am in - why? I’ve lost almost all the fitness I had built with FL - due to an injury in September, covid in October, re-injuries and now almost 6 more kg on the scale since then :scream:

So here are my goals:

  • weight goal: to be honest I’ve to adapt it according to yours - previously my intent was to go back to 69 kg (my September weight), but now I’ve to aim 62 kg while YOU reach 69!
  • fitness: to finish my first 48-session journey with Freeletics
  • walk-run: be able to run at 14:00/km for 45 min.

I’ve to reach this running goal for the Wings for Life World Run on 4th May.
It’s really an interesting charity run: everybody runs at its own pace and place all over the world, followed by a virtual catcher car on their phone (GPS tracking). Some are running only a kilometer - last year the winner ran 70 km! There are also a few “real” runs in Europe (Breda NL and Munich DE among others) and to join local groups for preparation or the run itself.
With such numbers I should go for a 3 km distance before being catched. After having used a wheelchair for years, this is a nice goal I guess

I LOVE this Yanne :muscle: Let’s get you added :+1:

Also, I think I’ve heard of this before but I don’t think I quite understood it. Looks really cool though, so essentially one has a 30 minute headstart on the “car” (looks like in Munich it’s even a real car :joy: ) and you just keep running until one is caught. 4th May…looks like that could be a potential weekly challenge for that week :see_no_evil:

That’s the idea, not really more complicated than that. You’re right, in a “Flagships Run”, i.e. real runs organized in cities, there are several real carS… and it does make sense: the longest time is 4 hours, they need more than one car to keep up with these professionnal runners

looks like that could be a potential weekly challenge for that week :see_no_evil:

:point_up_2: would be really cool to have teammates in a FL running group! :grinning:
It’s possible to set up teams, but I don’t know how it works. Maybe Freeletics could create one? (here is the link: Join a team or create your own)
(maybe I’m becoming a little bit off topic here sorry :see_no_evil:)
