New Stats Feature + Adjustable Dumbbells for a Smoother, Smarter Workout in Ultimate Strength! 🎉

Hey Athletes :waving_hand:,

We have some exciting new updates for you in the Ultimate Strength Training Journey!

:one:We’ve added a new equipment option for Adjustable Dumbbells!

We heard how frustrating it was to keep changing dumbbell weights mid-set, so to help keep you in your workout flow and avoid any unwanted interruptions, Adjustable Dumbbells are here to stay!

:gear:Here’s how it works

When you add Adjustable Dumbbells as new equipment in your settings (found via the settings icon on the Coach tab), simply list the weight combinations you have. Then, the Coach will assign a single weight per interval, so you won’t have to keep changing weights mid-set. This helps maintain that steady flow between work and rest, keeping you in the zone and ready for the next exercise.

:two:New exercise stats to track your progress

Want to get even more detailed on your fitness progress? Now you can get even more granular stats in your recap with things like:

  • Max reps and total volume for bodyweight exercises
  • Max weight, max reps, and total volume for weighted exercises

And you can view these stats going back up to 3 months. This means better insight into where you’re improving and opportunities to level up.

We hope these update helps improve your workout experience. Try them out and share your feedback below! ClapClap!

Thanks for listening to the community and developing that! The adjustable db setting would’ve been so great if I didn’t just buy another pair of dumbbell bars the other week :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

But still, thanks, sounds great

YEAH! Thanks so much, I also requested the adjustable dumbbells and find it awesome you set to implement it! Thank you!

I am incredibly excited about the new Stats Feature! This is the most important functionality I’ve been waiting for for a long time, and I really appreciate the work put into it.

However, I’ve noticed a significant issue with the calculation of “Max reps” in the new bodyweight and weighted exercise stats.

The Problem:

It appears that warm-up sets (or ramping sets) are currently being included in the calculation for “Max reps.” For exercises where the warm-up protocol typically involves a certain number of reps (e.g., 10 reps), the recorded “Max reps” in the statistics always shows this number (e.g., 10).

This makes the statistic useless for monitoring actual progress, as it doesn’t reflect the performance achieved during the working sets. It’s impossible to track the maximum repetitions performed on any given day if the stat is capped by a standard warm-up set.

Suggested Solution:

I strongly suggest that the statistics should only take into account the working sets and entirely exclude warm-up/ramping sets. This change is necessary to ensure the “Max reps” stat accurately reflects a user’s true performance and improvement over time.

Additional Suggestion (Data Retention):

While seeing stats for up to three months is a great start, it would be fantastic to have the option to view progress data going back more than three months for a more comprehensive long-term analysis.

Thank you for considering this feedback!

In addition to the problem already reported regarding the calculation of warm-up reps in the workout statistics (which results in my max bench press rep being always 10), I’d also like to point out a lack within the Android app compared to the iOS one. While on iOS you can tap the individual bars and see the exact number of reps or kg taken into account, this is not possible in the Android version. This means that if the bar does not match the numbering indicated on the vertical axis, it is not possible to accurately determine the indicated value.

Thanks
