Too "granular" weights suggested for workouts

Hi,

I have been using the app for a few months and I like the variety and structure it has brought into my training. I am currently doing a hybrid strength journey and the suggested weights frustrate me from time to time. Not sure if this is just my personal nitpicking but figured out I would share it anyway.

My main issue is that the app / coach tends to suggest too “granular” weights. For example, I am doing deadlift, I don’t see the point of doing it with 82.5 kg vs 80kg. The latter I can achieve e.g. with a the barbell (20kg) and two plates (20kg + 10kg) on both ends so the bar and four plates, the former needs a bar and six plates.

Maybe it is just me, but I like to keep the hassle with the weights to minimum. This becomes more of an issue when these granular updates happen in the middle of the “warmup” sets. For example, if the app suggests starting with 30 kg (bar + two plates), 42.5 kg (bar plus four plates), 60 kg (bar plus two plates), Updating from 42.5 kg to 60 kg requires thus removing the small 1.25 kg plates before adding the bigger plates.

For moves such as deadlifts, I could live with e.g. 10 kg increments. One can always override the suggested weights in the app, but that is also an extra hassle I would rather keep to minimum.

Another related niggle is that e.g. for plate cocoons the app suggests sometimes 7.5 kg and there is no such plate. I just tend to take either 5 kg or 10 kg in these cases.

As an unrelated note, it would be nice to have some reasoning for the changes in the weights e.g. week-to-week, sometimes they changes do feel a bit random. For example, one week the app dropped weights for an exercise from 60 kg to 30 kg while keeping the reps the same and I had no idea why.
