Ultimate stregth - doubts

I started the ultimate strength a couple of weeks ago after completing a barebell strength journey. It ended with some heavy (for me) weights, classic exercises like bech press, squats, deadlifts.

Now, ultimate strength looks more an hybrid strength journey, with workouts mixing strength and hypertrophy - expecially if I compare it to the barebell journey.

What is the goal and the principle beyond ultimate strenght? Does it get more strenght oriented or I’ll have to do some “dumbbell spider curls” that will give me biceps volume, but not exactly what I was looking for?
