What to do when you can't complete the planned session

So today I had a 6 part workout planned, including warm up, intervals, PB and cool down. I just had no energy for the PB part. I knew that if I tried it, form and performance would just not be there, so I chose to stop the session, skip the PB and mark it as done.

What will the coach do in this instance? How will this affect future sessions? Would it be better to do the PB part knowing that it just wouldn’t be close to the standard time?

I have been training with Freeletics for 3 years now, just crossed my best week streak so far, so it is not lack of training or going to hard to fast, I was just out of energy today.

Thanks in advance for any guidance you can give me.

Hi @sergiofajardo , to be honest, I am not 100% sure what will happen there, but my guess would be that the Coach will just disregard the PB workout as it wasn’t completed.

That happens to everyone every now and then! I think one missed workout inside a session should not disturb the Coach and any future sessions in the long term, again, just my guess.

I think if you are really out of energy, it is totally fair enough not to finish a session. It is way better to be consistent in the long term than to push yourself into the risk of injury just to finish that one interval and end up not training for the next few days/weeks because of an injury or burnout.
