Workout Motivation

Hi I am new to Freeletics. I have been doing it for a week now and suddenly start to feel de motivated as I do it alone and also work impact. How do you guys handle motivation challenges.

Hi, the best thing for me is just make it a routine and notice that I feel better when doing sports in comparison to not. Even if I don’t feel like it, I’ll still work out, sometimes a bit shorter but I still work out.

Totally feel you on the motivation drop. Do any of you use built-in app features (like streaks or skill trees) to stay on track, or does it only work if you have friends involved? Would love practical tips that made a real difference. Just started with skill progressions and already feel like the harder moves are a mental wall.

I don’t rely on motiviation, but on habbits and discipline

The discipline and routine advice above is really the only correct answer. Motivation comes and goes, but to get results, you have to stay consistent. The logical conclusion, then, is that we can’t rely on motivation. So how do we stay consistent? By making working out a rule - not something that depends on motivation.

That said, if you really don’t even want to think about it right now, that advice is probably unhelpful :slightly_smiling_face: I’ll suggest one more: what’s the reason you started working out? Remind yourself of that reason.
