I'm completely lost

Hey guys,

I received a one year membership to freeletics for free a while ago but never used it because I didn’t like the app. But I kept hearing great things about the results people got so I decided to give it a try.

Unfortunately things are not going well. I don’t understand this app (and I’ve tried a dozen before and never gotten any issue)

First of all, I don’t understand where to start. I had to choose a training and that’s it. I’m not even sure what I signed for. Everyday Strenght ? What is it ? Why am I getting that ? How do I know it’s the right fit for me. I was expecting some questions to understand my situation better. I read a summary of all programs here on the forum, but those summaries were too simple and I’m still unsure which program I should begin with.

I’m also having lot of difficults with many exercices. We have the option of banning only 10. That’s just not enough. Especially when some exercices such as lunges have so many variations. I also tried to get a very easy program to start but no matter how easy I’m asking, I keep struggling as fuck on the warm up part, so I can’t even continue the workout.

Also, I tend to get back home late and work out late (after midnight sometimes). But the app doesn’t understand it so it gives me the monday workout while for me I am still on sunday. So it skips a workout and I just have the option to “complete it” virtually. I wish I had the option to tell the app which workout I want to complete instead of it being fixed to the day we are. Or maybe I missed an option here ?

Finally, where do I ask my questions ? I’m asking here without even being sure I’m at the right place. I’ve seen many apps and software having better contact options, even free ones.

Thanks

Hi @Alex87554 welcome to the forum!

First of all, you are in the right place to ask these questions, every one on this forum will be able to help.

The Freeletics app calls its programme “Training Journey” or “TJ”.
Each TJ has slight different focus but the 3 main ones as a beginner would be:

  • Fit for life
  • 15 min Fitness
  • Start Strong.

If you click on the cog icone on the top right hand corner of your screen when you are in the Coach tab, and then hit “Training Journey”, you will be able to see all the training journey.

I’d recommend starting with one of the three above if the journey you are currently doing is too hard.

One key component of Freeletics is their AI. It is based on all the feedback you will be giving to the Coach after a training session. If you couldn’t go past the warmup, then you’ll need to make sure you click on “this was too hard for me”. The Coach will adapt and give you easier option.
Although I hope one of the three TJ written above will be more suitable to you.

You can also click on the “Adapt” button before starting a session to ask for an “easier” or “way easier” session.

if you don’t so a session one day, it will be pushed out to the next training day. So if you miss your training on Sunday (or train after midnight) you will essentially be doing the Monday workout. You can also rearrange your designated training day on the cog icone on top of your coach screen.

The app doesn’t allow you to choose more than 10 exercises to ban as it considerably reduces the pool of exercises during a training week. If you have a specific injury or issue you should talk to a specialist to see what exercises you could do instead of lunges for example.

I think the Start Strong Journey would be a great point to start! And feel free to ask as many questions as you want here :clapclapstatic:
