I got exostosis calcanei on both of my legs, so i wanted to try the app as a guideline to lose weight with limited exercises. I managed the first session with some minor pain, because it made me do some jumping exercises, but now on the second session it tells me to go and run. I can’t do that.
Hi @eyeati you can define Training spots where you can deactivate outdoor runs.
Go to coach settings (coach screen, icon in right upper corner, scroll down to equipment and places (or spots, I do not know correct English wording) and define a default training place, mark it as default, activate all the equipment you have and choose not to get runs assigned.
Hi! As an orthopedic and sports physical therapist, you should be cautious about continuing with running or jumping if those activities are causing you pain. With a history of calcaneal exostosis, higher-impact activities may not be the best starting point, especially if you’re already noticing symptoms.
If the app gives you the option to modify your workouts, I’d suggest replacing running and jumping with lower-impact activities that you can do comfortably, such as walking, cycling, or appropriate strengthening exercises. You don’t need to run or jump to make progress with fitness or weight management.
The important thing is that the exercise is appropriate for you and doesn’t consistently aggravate your symptoms. If you’re unsure which activities are suitable, I’d recommend having your individual situation assessed by your physical therapist or physician.
