For the dumbbell skull crushers, the video shows two dumbbells, but the weight settings given on the ultimate strength journey seem to say one dumbbell (although it’s not clear). If it says 8kg, does that mean 2x 8kg (like in the video) or 1x 8kg?
Hi @Hawkaterrier , if it doesn’t say “2x” then I believe it means 1 db, this could be due to your Coach setting where you don’t have 2x 8kg dbs?
You’d do 1 side after the other.
The first question is correct. For eg. I get given 2x 4kg skull crushers as per video but at the end of the interval it counts only 1x 4kg. Frustrates the hell out of me.
Hey @fiona , I don’t think they have a video variation for 1x skull crusher, so you need to follow what the coach says on the exercise, not in the video. If you have access to multiple dumbbell, the coach should see that and assign 2x4kg instead of 1x4kg.
That’s not what I’m saying. The video shows 2 dumbbells for skull crushers but after it’s completed, you only get credited the weight of one dumbbell not two at the end of the interval ![]()
Yeah, what Fiona’s saying is correct. It makes no difference what you tell the coach - I have 2x of every dumbbell weight, the video always demos the exercise with 2, but the coach gives the exercise with 1. I think this is just a bug in the app, as this is the only time I’ve seen an exercise not match the video
Yes I think we are saying the same thing haha. They do not have a video that shows a single arm skill crusher, so the coach will show you the “skull crusher” video and then assign you only the 1 arm version. This enables the app to be more flexible depending on how many dumbbells you have and what weight without shooting videos for all possible scenarios.
