Introducing: Ultimate Strength – Our most personalized Strength Training Journey ever 💥

Totally agreed! I think the coach based its time on actual workout time not the session time. So it will only count when doing an exercise, not during rest, not in between intervals, etc

I guess the algorithm does take into account the rest times but no times between intervals.

For me the estimates are pretty accurate. I do rests as prescribed and do not rest between intervals - if I do not feel very exhausted I even deload of the bar in the pauses of the succeeding intervals.

Thats very strange. My time estimates are pretty spot-on

Hello everyone :waving_hand:t2:

If you’re in the Ultimate Strength Training journey and are interested in the “Spaces“ feature, you also might want to take a look at this improvement :eyes: :

Just finished the journey and was thinking about doing it again. However it is no longer available in my Training Journeys.

Is it somehow a bug of an app? Or the settings are wrong?

Hi there,

I gave this workout a second chance and being a third to this next trial, I thought I add some more feedback to what has been written above.

I stick to my earlier positive aspects:

  • The flexibility is really great. Especially, the one to adjust to alternative exercises on the fly.

  • For me, being able to swap to a run instead is a real killer feature that should be rolled out across all journeys.

Room for improvement:

  • Warm up and cool downs remain insufficient and are pretty weird at times. Sometimes I start with warm-up rolls or deep stretches without activation in the warm up, which I then complement with activation to actually get warmed up at least a bit.

  • Cool down and stretching often features activation exercises or assisted exercises that I have never ever done before such as assisted squats. I skip those for real squats and I am wondering where these come from.

  • Generally both warm up and stretching are insufficient in comparison to other workouts TMHO. Weightless Gain for example puts much more focus into these two aspects of a session.

  • In this second journey I am bored to death by endless repetitions of boring exercises. I have very little variations and session repeat the same boring exercises again and again. I am wondering where are push-ups with all its varieties, where are burpees. Instead I get endless standing scales or similar. This is particularly bad when I have to train without equipment. The flexibility I cherish so much breaks down here too, as the alternatives are very limited.

  • When swapping to a run, it is again an gain some minutes of running, why aren’t the running gods used here?

So I guess my question is how can I tell the coach to go for less repetitions at higher resistance with more interesting/challenging exercises?

Cheers

Uwe

Well, well, well… it is very nice to know all of these updates from Freeletics workouts and read all of your posts but I always wonder why there is from years and years NO updates from Freeletics food app.

If you want to build muscle mass, 20% is from workouts, the 80% is food. Of course, regularity, calm, recovery and 8 hours or more is also there.

I like the Food app but if I want to have more muscle mass, I need more food as it is sometimes written and if I want to loose fat and kilos, I would like more receipts that I once had.

Seasonal too…
