Mountain Climbers

When the App asks for 10 mountain climbers. Is it
A) eveytime your knee goes up thats 1
Or
B) everytime your left or right knee goes up thats 1

It is A.
If you click the video and swipe up, you’ll see written instructions.

To be honest, it is really not clear that there are written instructions hidden in the videos, so this question comes up a lot.

This post was a revelation. Look like I’ve been doubling repetitions on a lot of exercises for all this time.

First, I didn’t know about instructions in the video.
Second, I have never downloaded videos for exercises that seem straightforward to do.

Basically every variation of Lunges, climbers, mountain climbers, bicycle crunches, box step ups, cossack squats, dead bugs, shoulder taps and probably many more.

Worst of all my mind is now programmed to count one only when both sides are completed as I have been doing it like this for a loooong time, how am I going to continue now? Life makes no sense anymore :rofl:

I do it the same. But to be honest, I prefer to do 10 on each side then just 5. Otherwise the workout gets a little to easy overall.

The only downside to that is, that the app things you are slower than others and gives you a “bad” rating in the score. But I don’t care to much about that.

Would be great if the rating has two different numbers. One for comparing yourself to all athletes using the app (current system) and a second for just comparing to your own process.

Yeah, it hardly makes sense to cut reps in half now. I would beat all my previous PB’s in workouts that have those exercises.
Especially since I have done them this way for so long.

I’ll just try to forget what I learned today and continue on :sweat_smile:

It makes sense to me.

I won’t change, left and right knee is 1 rep.

If you think about it, you did more than you were asked. That’s a win in my book :slight_smile:

Important part is if you don’t feel overtrained and exhausted I see no harm.

At least now I know why my “speed” score is always low :sweat_smile:
