It would be nice to have a setting to turn off screen while running. For long distances there is no need to have screen always on. It would be perfect if screen will be active only just before interval.
If user would like to see stats then double tap on screen will activate it for 10 s.
Turn off, dim, power off backlight. Any of those would be a plus to have.
Yup, what Anna said . Sounds like your on an Android phone and need to play with your power settings Essentially Android devices will kill certain apps running in the background to save battery. Usually turning your phone settings to the highest performance mode (i.e. no battery saving actions at all) is the easiest method of resolving it.
But that’s exactly the point, why are you leaving your screen on? Just turn it off. Locking your phone whilst the app is running in the background won’t affect anything, as long as your device power settings allow.
It’s an Android setting (i.e. on your phone). It’s not something that is controlled by the Freeletics app.
So it looks like that locking the phone is not a solution.
I would like to be able to see stats when I need them. Unlocking phone while running is not so convenient. Therefore the app should be always on but dim the screen and only brighten when desired.
Anyway I will give it a try and see how locking the phone works. Maybe sound only is enough.
I have tried the locking screen workaround. It is no good unfortunately.
To unlock phone I need to provide password. Since phone is inside armband the fingerprint do not work. Also when wet it might not work anyway. So the only way to unlock is to use password. Which is not convenient when you run.
The only good thing is that I can still hear voice messages. The app is running in the background. I can receive guidance. However it is not the same as looking at the screen.
Thank you for your suggestions. Is there any chance of implementing dimm feature?
