Prompt user to enter upper or lower body focus

I am on the dumbbell journey and a day always consists of 1 lower body exercise and 2 upper body exercises, both of those being a superset. My goal is making my whole body stronger but with a strong lower body focus (girls will get it). I’d love to be able to tell the coach to focus more on lower body in the majority of the days. There are enough lower body DB exercises (deadlifts, 1L deadlifts, glute bridges, romanian deadlifts, bulgarian split squats, squats, lunges, walking lunges) so I see no reason why they couldn’t be in my journey.

Plus one… for me Freeletics has helped developed an impressive torso, but didn’t do much for my legs. Girls need to work legs more than boys do.

@Sofia Just out curiosity, why do they need to train legs more?
My priorities are more to develop strength in the upper than lower body (I’m about as strong as a pretzel in my arms) so I quite like it.

Thank you for asking this because it made me realize I didn’t word this well.

I don’t mean to say that women need to focus on their legs and shouldn’t developer their upper body.

I wanted to say that some women would require different training than men and might need increased volume training and intensity for the legs than generally given in full-body workouts. Depending on genetics, muscle fiber type and distribution and fat distribution. I am an example because with full-body training with Freeletics I have achieved really great results in the upper body (and I am very happy with them!) but my legs definitely do not get enough.

Ah i see. Yes in general I’d like to personalize the coach more… but that sounds like the belly, bottom, legs journey (translated, idk what it’s called in English) could be fitting for you. But I guess that you Sofia already know that, but maybe it could be something for @wica93

Is it the Legs, Curves and Core journey?
Thing is, the completionist in me HAS TO complete my current journey before I’m ok moving on to the next one.

Also, could you please give a few examples about how the journey looks like and what are the main exercises included? Can I incorporate dumbbelss and barbell? It seems like it’s a BW journey but I want to work with weights! Thanks!

Do you know if I did change the journey to this one, and then go backto dumbbell journey, does the progress in dumbbell reset to 0, or can I continue where I left off? Thank you

yes

I never did the journey, so no. but i know that @melaLetics recently did it, so maybe she can help

it is indeed a bodyweight journey. I’d assume that the coach will assign you some exercises with weights but unfortunately it won’t give you any recommendations which weight to use…

yes, unfortunately your progress will be back to 0
