Run activity stops when sliding to the left and we can’t go back go

Hello,

As soon as I go running, I use the “Free Run” option of the app. It’s great because when I have my headphones, I can follow my pace, global time etc.

Nevertheless, if I have the misfortune to take out my phone, to check an element on the running screen for example, and slide to the left with my finger (not on purpose), the exercise stops and ends automatically… and I do not have the possibility to go back to pick up where I was. I find myself forced to abandon the race (very annoying if I had already done several kilometers) and start again the activity.

This slide function is practical for fitness exos and others, but not for the free run training.

I imagine several possibilities:

Be able to slide to go back and resume the current run (that said, it might not be ideal)

Being able to pause during the running activity and then have the options to resume the run or end it (and then record the activity)

Have a clear and visible button on the screen to complete the activity and remove the slide function with your finger to avoid false manipulations.

Thank you in advance :raised_hands:

Hey Aymeric :wave:t2:

There is a warning pop-up that requires tapping on if you accidentally swipe left out of a workout, including free runs :point_down:t2:

However, accidentally “cancelling out” can happen. In this case, I would simply complete and log the run manually :point_down:t2:

Hey Ben, thanks a lot for your answer! I indeed enter manually the activity like you mentioned. However, regarding the pop up that should appear, I don’t have this at all on my end concerning free runs.
I tried to demo it here in the gif attached
