Training logged 3 minutes too late

Hey guys,

Maybe somebody could help me with recovering my streak, again.

I did the “Power up with dumbbell” training on the 20th of August and the workout was logged successfully. However, as I was running very late that day I’ve finished the training 3 minutes late at 00:03 o’clock, which is why it was logged towards the 21st and not the 20th.

Due to that my still pretty short streak was cut and I had to start it from scratch.

This happened to me 2 months ago already, where I was losing quite a large base streak due to me failing opening the freeletics app after a run with the Samsung health app (lost ~50 consecutive base streak days).

After an injury I had right after that, which rendered me incapable of continuing my workouts, I now wanted to take another attempt of a big base streak, which is why I’d be pretty sad if I lost a streak again.

Is it possible for you to recover the streak?

Best,
André

Anybody?

No it is not possible. You just have to start again and watch the time closely :person_shrugging: but it’s also just an increasing number, so not the end of the world if you lose it

Wow. Worried about the discrepancy of information community and support members seem to have in this regard. Some say it works, some say it doesn’t. In the end a very disappointing support experience, but I take it.

Also on a sidenote: You should catch up in terms of empathy if you have a role like “Community Mentor”. Implying what means the world to anybody you don’t know anything about doesn’t sound anything but patronizing. So your reply is a double fail in terms of decent support

Look, I don’t work at Freeletics. I do this during my leisure.
You could’ve also just easily looked this up in the forum bc it’s been talked about quite a few times (and Ben, who’s actually working there should’ve explained it to you via DM how it works?)
I didn’t mean to sound patronising, I’m sorry if it did. But it is just not possible to recover it, you just have to start again. And I said that in order for you to maybe check your priorities if this number is so important to you. Because I checked mine a while back and realised that this number, as well as perfect week badges, isn’t a priority for me. If it is for you, then cool as well

I wanna apologize if I took my answer too seriously and sounded patronizing myself. I can very well understand you’re doing this in your spare time and I thank you for your understanding and empathy for my situation.

So, I was already in touch with Ben a few months back with a similar incident and that’s where he told me that it is indeed possible to recover a streak, but only if the workout was logged in the freeletics app, which is the case for me. And I’ve already tried to reach out to him a few days back, but after he didn’t reply I thought I’ll try it in the main forum again.

However, I think it’s best to continue with him in a private conversation, so that I can find out if it’s possible or not, because as I said he told me it is when I was having a similar issue a few months back.

Again sorry if I came off rude myself and thank you very much for your lovely 2nd message, no hard feelings  And have a great rest of the day (or night) :raised_hands:

Hey André :wave:t2:

I have replied to your DM earlier :+1:t2:

Just to make this clear, in this case it’s not possible as @gameonplayer replied

Any training logged counts on the day it is completed, so in this case, for the 20th August, there won’t be any training logged that counts towards your Base.

The Base streak is there to help you stay consistent, it isn’t designed to be a “keep it going no matter what” ever increasing number. There are going to be days and weeks when “life” happens and it’ll come to an end. We encounter all sorts of hurdles that will mean we can’t train for one reason or another (I myself haven’t trained for over a month now due to an injury, I can’t even cycle :sob: ) and any streaks I had going are long gone :joy:

The fact that you were running so late and still trained at that time of day deserves it’s own reward, that’s some serious dedication to your training progress :muscle:t2: You should recognise that and be proud of the fact.
