@Ben Well, the Base Streak is gone again. A few days ago I forgot to open the app after an Apple Health recorded workout. When I opened it the next day, the Base Streak was gone! Now it is counting again from zero (I’m at 4 days now).
I’m giving up, the functionality seems to be broken beyond repair. The workouts are not properly picked up into the Base Streak, although they are visible in the app!
I’m keeping my streak in Apple Health - so far >2 years of >=30 exercise minutes each day.
In this case the feature worked exactly as expected-you do need to open the app every day after doing any logged external activity in order to sync it to your Base.
We’ve said this numerous times If you open the app the following day, the app will still import and logged activity, but they won’t count towards your Base.
I don’t understand the reasoning behind it. It doesn’t matter whether I opened the app on the day, what matters is the workout. I could understand that it only accounts for a limited timeframe, say 1 week or so back, but only today? Especially, since the data is imported. It’s easy to forget to open the app. At least a notification/reminder in the evening would be handy.
Independent of that, I had a Base streak of 4 yesterday, today it’s showing 1 again! So the feature is still buggy anyway, randomly going back to 1.
Please tell your developers to fix the functionality (and also to account for all workouts, not only when the app was open on the day). For now, I’m going to ignore Base, since it doesn’t work correctly anyway (even when opening the app every day).
Don’t get me wrong, the rest of the app works as expected and it keeps me engaged enough (muuuuch better and more flexible than what Apple Fitness and similar with their videos offer). But, Base is a total flop for me (bugs + not accounting for days where the data is imported but the app was not open).
I agree with shadow. This feature is still extremely buggy.
My long streak (I think it was 60 days or so) was reset on March 11 to 1. This is despite doing in-app coach sessions and routines (such as the own your space challenge) on March 11 and the days around it. I didn’t do any external activities that would need to be “uploaded” to progress the streak. All in-app and the streak was still reset.
There are also still bugs with external activities not filling the “base” bar but the streak count goes up by 1 anyway (as I detailed elsewhere in this thread). The activity fills the bar the next day (the incorrect day).
None of my runs are synced in the App. Tried the above fixes/workarounds. Log off and in on the app, reset apple health permissions, delete and reinstall the freeletics app, nothing seems to work. App is up to date, so is the ios version. Any ideas to fix this error? Its becoming very annoying.
Are you sure? It does look like we are logging external training data for you. Just remember, you do need to open the Freeletics app after logging any external activity in Health in order to make sure this is synced to your Base.
Can you send some screenshots showing your Base for the previous few days?
