Legs four times a week?

So, I don’t think a lot of people like leg day. I’m one of them, but I soldier on because soon after I have superior group to train.

However, this week I got leg on Monday, superior on Tuesday, Conditioning on Wednesday and leg today (Thursday). Guess what it is for tomorrow? All body. It was superior just before I started today’s trainning. And this is not the first time this happened. Not by a long shot.

Why do you think I’d like to have my legs trained four times a week? Is it even healthy? Do I get to change the group to be trained in the app? If so, please tell me.

Hey @rodrigo.hunglaub, can you let us know what journey you are currently on?

The coach assigns different group to train but even within a specific group, it can assign different muscle to train.

By switching up reps scheme, intensity and movements, you can train legs multiple times per week, it also depends on the length of the session, number of reps, total volume etc…

Hi Tom, thanks for your reply. My current journey is Supreme Power (I apologize if the names are off, but I’ve trying to change the language to English in my app, but I was unable to find it).

I understand that inside a group, i.e. legs, I have different muscles that can be trained individually. However, Wednesday coach gave squat jumps and squats. Thursday, Shrimp Squats, Goblet Lunges and Weighted Plate Squats. For Friday it gave me Squat Reverse Lunges, Cossack Squats and Squat Jumps.

So, as you can see, aside from the Cossack Squats all of them are kinda focusing on the same muscles.

But this is not the problem, as I see it. First of all, it was supposed to be superior on Friday, not whole body. It was just before I finished Thursday training. Second, as you can see, I’m getting a lot of same exercises focusing on the same muscles while others get none, like traps, lateral shoulders and calves.

The reality is that I’m getting frustrated.

  1. The feedback loop with the coach doesn’t work. I say is too much next session the same exercise comes back with the same number of sets and reps. I say it’s easy same result.

  2. Constant changes on sessions schedule.

  3. I bought 4x 2kg + 4x 3kg plates and the coach puts and exercise with a plate of 15kg. Just how?

  4. Minor muscle groups are being forgot of trained alongside others.

The app gave me confidence that I could leave a sedentary life to an active one. I’m 43 and I was able to go from doing nothing to sessions five times a week since April.

But now that I’m stronger, more agile and have being studying exercises and healthy lifestyle, the app is getting more and more of a hindrance than a helper.

Well, sorry for the walltext but I had to put it out there.

My subscription ends in April and I think I’ll try to make my own journey.

Hi @rodrigo.hunglaub , I am not too too sure about why the Coach assigns sessions, but maybe as you’re getting fitter, it thought that you could handle the volume.
Also, in your jouney, using the adapt button to specify that you want to do an upper body session could be a good way to train as you want, if you feel like it’s too much volume in the lower body.

Thanks, TomG, the adapt buttom did help. I waited to see what was going to happen and yes, after three days of leg this week I was set to a whole body session tomorrow. The adapt buttom worked in recreating the entire session.

BTW I can handle the volume, I just don’t want to.

But I do apreciate your help. Cheers.
