Hi!
I’m about to switch training and would like to have a better understanding of the exercises involved & required equipment in the Hybrid Strength journey.
Can you guys tell me more about it?
Thanks!

Hi @hjanvier33 welcome to the forum!
Depending on how many days per week you will be doing it, the week will look a bit different:
The strength barbell days will be purely barbell work, with bench presses, back squats, front squats, deadlifts, push presses, pull over, bent-over rows, Romanian deadlifts, lunges, curls, and triceps extensions…
The Hybrid Days are sort of like a normal Coach day with bodyweight exercises, skill progressions, dumbells, kettlebells and plate exercises if you have any. These days are focused on functional/gymnastic strength: pushups, pull ups, hip thrusts, abs, pretty much all the exercise pool.
The God days, are exactly that, pure cardio workout.
Let me know if you have any specific questions.
Hi @TomG,
Thanks so much for getting back to me so quickly, I appreciate it!
I’m actually looking for something that would blend all those in one training, combining cardio with barbell strength - something like cross-training.
Do you think Hybrid Strength is the most appropriate training for that?
Thank you!
Best,
Hugo
Hi @hjanvier33 , I think the Hybrid Journey is definitly the closest journey to what you are looking for. The only downside is that the cross training style of it would be spread within the week, instead of being within the same session.
You will have strength dedicated days, cardio dedicated days, and functional training days (bodyweight + equipments). However, you won’t have a barbell strength piece followed by a God workout…
Ii actually talked about this here if you want to check it out!
I hope Freeletics will implement this soon, and by the look of it, they are working on it:
If I have enabled runs and sprints, will they be part of this journey?
You will access to Bodyweight gods that includes sprints, but no running gods
Still debating if i should include running in my cardio routine, any advice ?
